I decided to concentrate on the social club I had joined and started attending a number of events. Over the coming months I met some great girls, mainly Siobhan and Miranda to add to my now growing list of female friends. I also met one guy, Robert who was quite fanciable but he is a farmer - and a farmers wife is not a life for me. Anyway there was the small issue that I didnt actually think he fancied me anyway. We all became quite good friends and Robert became a bit of a flirt partner for me (all totally innocent and platonic), but fun! I spent many evenings in the company of very nice people and there was always new people around to meet, some of whom were lovely, some of whom weren't. I started doing activity type events and tried my hand at white water rafting, gliding, quad biking, segways as well as meals out, bowling and party nights. I was having a ball! Always in the back of mind was the thought that why was it so difficult to meet a man I clicked with. I started to think about the internet dating again and I decided to take the plunge and try again! Well, it had worked for friends and family of mine - many people had had success on internet dating - my own brother had found his wife on internet dating, a lady I worked with had found her husband through internet dating - so why not me.
A friend of mine told me about a new internet dating site that had just been launched and it was free - so I decided to check it out. It was one of those sites, you couldnt browse the members until you'd created a profile, so I went through the laborious task of creating yet another profile and uploading pictures to find out that as this was a relatively new site, it hardly had any men in my area. I had a look at a couple of profiles on there, but nobody appealed. Not many members had pictures on this site and when I tried to upload my own picture, it was not without a hitch or two - there were obviously teething problems with this site, so I decided not to bother. I didnt remove my profile, but didnt bother looking again.
