I spent the next few weeks trying to readjust and ensuring my daughter was ok. This had been quite an experience for us both and I needed to make sure she was really ok. We chatted about what had happened and it made me realise how grown up she had become. She comforted me and told me it would all be ok. I apologised to her and promised I would never put her in that position again. The Russian returned to collect his tools from the shed and told me he'd moved in with someone in the next village. It was then I realised this was a pattern for him. He had already set himself up with his next victim.
It was a few weeks later that I found out that she had also thrown him out and the last I heard he had moved onto another lady living about 20 miles away. They were apparently living together and the last I heard, they were happy! Good luck to her, I think she'll need it.
I decided to rejoin my singles club and immersed myself back into "hosting" events and spending time with friends and family. After a couple of months, I decided to start with "introductions" again. It was then I meet David.....
