After a couple more weeks of going out with my new found friends with the club and the odd chat on line to some obscure guys - I suddenly received an email message from the new dating site I'd joined, to say that someone had messaged me. I decided to check it out, but to my disappointment, he didnt have a photo. He was local and a similar age to me and his profile sounding nice, but then so did a lot of them. I wasn't going to reply as he didnt have a picture, but I remembered the problems I'd had uploading one, so I decided to message him back. I asked if he could put a photo on for me to see. He replied saying he'd tried to upload one, but couldnt. He suggested that if I wanted to give him my email address, he would send one to me there. Now I wouldnt normally give my email address out to just anyone, but I thought if he turns out to be a minger, I can always block him. So I agreed. He sent me a picture the next day and my god did I get a shock. He was drop dead gorgeous!! I remember thinking, why would he be interested in me. We chatted on line for a few days and he then suggested we meet up. His name was Rob. I arranged a babysitter and met him at a local pub. I remember driving to the pub, thinking that I was going to get there and find his photo was 10 years out of date and now he is a bald, fat, 60 year old man, or he won't turn up. I got a text as I was driving and it was from him to say he was at the pub and what did I want to drink. I quickly replied requesting a white wine! I walked in the pub and my heart skipped a beat - this guy was gorgeous - in fact he was even better than his pictures that he'd sent me. He was 6ft tall, fit, a cracking smile, short "salt and pepper" hair, really distinguishing features. I had such a lovely evening, he was funny, charismatic and appeared to tick all my boxes. There was only one problem, I couldnt for the life of me believe that he would want to see me again. Dont get me wrong, Im not ugly, Im not boring - but Im overweight, Im not very sporty, in fact Im not sporty at all and this guy could of picked whichever girl he chooses, so why would he be interested in me! I remember getting home and my mum (who was sitting for me) asking me "how did it go". I replied "wow". I really didnt expect to hear from him again, but I received a text just before I went to bed, to say he'd had a lovely evening and looked forward to seeing me again. Over the coming few days, we text each other regularly and arranged to meet up that weekend. He came and picked me up from my house and took me out to dinner. We again had a lovely evening and I couldnt believe my luck. A relationship developed and I was so happy. He invited me to his home and suggested we go out to dinner again. I always believe its a good test when you see someones home as not only do you get to see how they live, you also get to tell a lot about a person by their home and their possessions. This guy was perfect for me. He had a beautiful home, great style, clean and tidy. We went out to dinner again and he asked me to stay over. The next morning I had breakfast cooked for me! I'd never had a guy cook me breakfast before. I couldnt belive this was happening to me. He asked me what I was doing for the rest of the day as he wanted to take me to Norfolk for the day. So off we went to Norfolk. He took me to a beautiful fishing village and we walked along the front hand in hand, he took me to a posh hotel for lunch. We had such a lovely time. He then took me to a stately home where we walked around admiring the style, furniture, paintings etc. I was having such a perfect day, I didnt want it to end. On the way home, we were talking about meeting up the following weekend and he said he couldnt wait that long and could I get my mum to sit again in the week as he wanted to take me to the pictures. I said I'd ask and hopefully there wouldnt be a problem with that. He was chatty in the car, he seemed as happy as me, he seemed eager to see me again. He suggested that the following weekend he would cook for me and started to ask me what I liked and didn't like so he could plan a menu. I really couldnt believe my luck. Rob was incredible and everything I could have wished for. I found myself falling in love with him. It was very early days, but he had completely knocked me off my feet. I now believe in love at first sight. He dropped me off home and I said I'd let him know about the cinema. We kissed goodbye, he thanked me for a lovely weekend. That was the last I ever saw of him!
